Our annual Rhinebeck road trip

Another year's fun at Rhinebeck has come and gone, alas. Do we really have to wait until next October?

We left Boston very early Saturday morning to head out. The weather forecasts all week had taunted us with warnings of rain and snow. Instead we got a gorgeous, if cold, Saturday to wander around the fair.

The sights from the fairgrounds...

On the way home we did our normal stop in Lenox, where we were met with cold, heavy rain. By the time we left Lee, it had become heavy, golf ball sized snow, which accompanied us across the state back to Boston. The view from the car:

Definitely an out-of-the-ordinary end to our fun weekend!

OMG that orange yarn.... I considered asking if I could buy just one skein... it was too hilarious. I'm pretty sure it would glow in the dark.

That looks like an amazing time. And alpacas, too!

Glad you made it back OK with all the snow - it was good to see you! And love the new avatar pic...

Looks like a lot of fun despite the snow and retina-searing yarn! *sigh* Maybe next year...

So many fluffy and cuddly things! And you seem to have met the cuddliest. It looks like a lovely time.

I'm glad that the weather held for you - at least until the journey back. (That bit doesn't sound like much fun at all...)

I cannot believe you met Ysolda! She slept in my house when she was just some random 17-year-old schoolkid!
