Let's go Red Sox!

Catherine is blaming me for last night's Red Sox loss, since I finished knitting a related project yesterday afternoon and thus my sending them good luck has ended.

See this? It's part of the Red Sox logo.

Now compare it to my latest project:

Pattern: Boston Red Sox Red Socks (a basic red sock with white toes and heels)
Yarn: SandesGarn Sisu in Red (less than two balls) and Patons Kroy in Whitecap (less than one ball)
Needles: 2.5 mm Inox 29" circulars for the body of the sock, US1 Inox for the ribbing.
Notes: My first short row heels, and they actually fit! These are also my first finished two color socks, which required a lot more end weaving in, which is not a great pleasure. But I like how they turned out.

And now a picture of the Red Sox Red Socks being worn:

ok, the sox are off tonight but if they don't win on fri, i will decide it is the knitting of red sox that is keeping them going and i will have to cast on.... i wonder if i can just cast on and knit like one row a week and that will take me till oct....

either that or just stab the yankees voo doo doll more often (which betsy has been religiously doing)

oh yeah, nice socks!

Very cute! Do you have to wear them for every game now?

GO SOX!

Those are fabulous. I have a pair of red socks (not hand-knit) I was wearing when they won the World Series, so now I wear those for every important game.

Your red socks rock!

I love these socks and would like to knit a pair for my brother. Did you use a pattern or make it up? If you used a pattern where could I find it? I've seen several variations of Red Sox Red Socks on knitting blogs, but yours are my favorite. Thanks for sharing the photos!
